An epidemic model with viral mutations and vaccine interventions

چکیده

In this paper, we introduce a two-strain SIR epidemic model with viral mutation and vaccine administration. We discuss analyze the existence stability of equilibrium points. This has three types points, namely disease-free equilibrium, dominance point strain two, coexistence endemic point. The local two are verified by using Routh--Hurwitz criteria, while for global used suitable Lyapunov function. also carried out bifurcation analysis application center manifold theory, obtained that system near always supercritical bifurcation. Finally, numerical simulations provided to validate theoretical results. Continuation results in Hopf bifurcations indicating birth chaos quasi-periodicity.

Stability and Bifurcation of an SIS Epidemic Model with Saturated Incidence Rate and Treatment Function

In this paper an SIS epidemic model with saturated incidence rate and treatment func- tion is proposed and studied. The existence of all feasible equilibrium points is discussed. The local stability conditions of the disease free equilibrium point and endemic equilibrium point are established with the help of basic reproduction number. However the global stabili- ty conditions of these eq...

ON THE STABILITY AND THRESHOLD ANALYSIS OF AN EPIDEMIC MODEL

We consider a mathematical model of epidemic spread  in which the  population  is partitioned  into five compartments of susceptible S(t), Infected I(t), Removed R(t), Prevented U(t) and the Controlled W(t). We assume each of the compartments comprises of cohorts of individuals which are  identical with respect to the disease status. We derive five systems of equations to represent each of the ...

Epidemic Percolation Networks, Epidemic Outcomes, and Interventions

Epidemic percolation networks (EPNs) are directed random networks that can be used to analyze stochastic "Susceptible-Infectious-Removed" (SIR) and "Susceptible-Exposed-Infectious-Removed" (SEIR) epidemic models, unifying and generalizing previous uses of networks and branching processes to analyze mass-action and network-based S(E)IR models. This paper explains the fundamental concepts underly...

An Epidemic Model of Nonmedical Opioid Use with Simulated Public Health Interventions

We report development of a generalized epidemic model of initiation and nonmedical use of pharmaceutical opioids in the US. The study relies on historical trend data as well as expert panel recommendations that inform model parameters and structure. Derived from current policies, simulated public health interventions are assessed using the model regarding their leverage for reducing initiation ...
